Let’s see what each city has to offer and which universities are housed there. With so many great options, at least one of them will suit your international endeavours.
1. Antwerp

The University of Antwerp (Universiteit Antwerpen, UAntwerpen) offers more than 25 English-taught Master programmes and 18 Advanced Master or Postgraduate programmes.
2. Brussels
Brussels, the capital of Belgium and the heart of the European Union, is a cosmopolitan city where historic charm meets modern governance. It’s a place where centuries-old architecture and rich cultural heritage blend seamlessly with the dynamic energy of international diplomacy and multiculturalism. Brussels houses multiple universities, namely the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), both referred to as the Free University of Brussels. ULB has 30 English-taught Master and 15 Advanced Master programmes, while VUB offers 3 English-taught Bachelor, 31 Master and 7 Advanced Master Programmes.
3. Ghent

The University of Ghent (Universiteit Gent, UGent) offers 1 English-taught Bachelor programme (with VUB), 73 Master programmes, 19 Advanced Master programmes and additional International Joint Master programmes.
4. Hasselt
Hasselt is renowned for its relaxed ambience, beautiful parks, and pedestrian-friendly city centre. It’s a place where you can unwind while strolling through green spaces, explore boutique shops, and savour regional delicacies in a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. The University of Hasselt (Universiteit Hasselt, UHasselt) offers 33 English-taught Master programmes and 3 Postgraduate programmes.
5. Kortrijk
Kortrijk, a historic city in the west, is a tapestry of rich heritage and modernity, showcasing its medieval architecture alongside innovative design and technology hubs. This city offers a unique blend of culture and commerce, where you can experience cutting-edge developments in various industries. Part of the University of Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, KU Leuven) is situated in Kortrijk. However, the university currently does not offer any English-taught programmes there.

6. Leuven
Leuven is home to one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities, the University of Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, KU Leuven). The university offers more than 100 English-taught programmes, both Bachelor and (Advanced) Master programmes. 7. Liège

8. Louvain-la-Neuve
Louvain-la-Neuve, a purpose-built Belgian city, is renowned for being home to the University of Louvain (Université catholique de Louvain, UCLouvain) and serving as an academic oasis. 9. Mons
Mons is a rather small city in the southwest of Belgium but with a long history. The University of Mons (Université de Mons, UMons) currently offers 5 English-taught Master programmes and 1 Advanced Master programme.
10. Namur
Namur, the capital of the Wallonia (southern) region in Belgium, is characterized by its impressive location at the confluence of the Meuse and Sambre rivers, offering scenic beauty and historic charm. With its impressive citadel overlooking the city and a rich cultural heritage, Namur is a city where history meets the natural beauty of the Ardennes. The University of Namur (Université de Namur, UNamur) offers 6 English-taught Master degrees and 1 Specialised Master degree.
